The People Locator is a desktop application that enables you to locate and manage your organisation's mobiles. When you request the location of a mobile phone, Trackaphone retrieves the position from the mobile's network, and shows you the location on a map.

The People Locator gives you ability to automate your location requests or 'pings' so you can review them later, or just to ping groups of mobiles at any time.

Each time you start The People Locator, any updates are automatically downloaded so you always have the latest version.

Which networks does Trackaphone support?
Track A Phone currently operates with Vodafone and Orange. Other networks will be available soon.

What costs do I have?
A signup fee is required for the number of mobiles you wish to locate. Usage of the system is paid in monthly in arrears according to the number of pings requested.

Do I have to take a contract out?
On signup, you will need to fax a signed copy of our agreement to Trackaphone. The initial license fee will cover a period of two years.

What do I need to operate Trackaphone?
You need an internet ready computer running Sun's Java. Compatible operating systems are Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix, & Solaris. See Sun for more information on Java compatibility. An ISDN internet connection is recommended.

How do I get software updates?
Each time you launch the application, Java WebStart checks for any updates, and automatically downloads them if any are available.
