The SOS Travel Guides are mobile destination guides that have all the emergency information you could ever need whilst abroad. As well as emergency information there are local hotel, restaurant, attraction and transport information to help you get the best out of the time you spend at each destination.
You access the SOS Travel Guides by requesting the WAP link for you mobile phone by texting SOS to 60999*. Once you have text for the guide you will receive back a WAP push message that will contain your link to the SOS Travel Guides. Clicking on this link will open up your mobile phones default internet browser in which the SOS Travel Guides WAP site will be displayed (A WAP site is simply a website for mobile phones).
On the WAP site you will be able to search and browse through the destination information there phone numbers and email addresses will be automatically selected on your mobile phone allowing to quickly call and use them.
In each guide there is a currency converter, that will calculate pounds in to the correct currency and visa-versa. The local news, weather and time are also displayed to help you keep up-to-date with what's happening and to let you know the weather forcast for each day.
